This hostel is just in the middle of old city and trendy area of istanbul (istiklal street, tunnel)... The staff
were really helpful and full of good tips... Their music selection was amazing... i will definitely stay again.
cleanliness of rooms, bathrooms were also perfect. i recommend this homely hostel to everybody...

The hostel is really well located, just around the corner of Galata Tower and Tünel with all the bars and restaurants, but also very close to Sultanahmet district. The three friends, who are running this place,
are very nice and helpful. The building had been refurbished with a lot of attention to the detail. The
room (2-bed) is a good size and the mattresses very comfortabel. the bathroom is fitted with a spacious
shower.

Rapunzel is located centrally in Istanbul. It only takes a few minutes to walk to Istiklal Street (Taksim)
or down to the Galata-bridge. The 3 friends are great and you feel a friend as soon as you arrive,
I invited them to stay at my place when in Belgium. Clean rooms, perfect - take your cay or coffee
yourself - breakfast and the only place in Turkey were you enjoy the music while eating it.

Just returned from our 2010 family summerholiday through Eastern Europe....thinking back on Rapunzel
as the most pleasant place to stay of all. Now, as we have many other hostels to compare with, I can see
that Rapunzel is really working on developing the good atmosphere, the feeling of home in the big/ busy/
dirty and lovely city of Istanbul and first of all contributing to the friendship between nationalities and
religions (a tough task these days!) In Rapunzel the three hosts show that there must be a connection
between "host" and "hospitality" and you seem to me as the best representatives of the meeting
of west and east, as the bon mot of Istanbul. During our stay you put up posters asking for the important
inspirations of our lives...so we worked on that for a night, my daughter, wife and I - and we had good
discussions from that. An untraditional approach that shows you are constantly working on developing
the hostel, not only as a place to stay, but as a place to live and exchange....your idea of sharing
inspirations is great. Apart from that your rooms, beds, the daylight, your kindliness whenever asked,
your breakfast, your bathrooms are great....all that is essential when you travel and want to be near
people and the heartbeat of the city.

the property is really cool and is in a nice area to stay. the staff is awesome and the common rooms
are very chill. it's a little ways from the other backpacker hostels which is nice. there's easy access from
here to all of istanbul.

the hostel in the mornings because the music was also great. i definitely recommend anybody on earth

Great staff and their English is excellent (including a wacky sense of humour) The breakfasts are great and I enjoyed time in a good location and thanks to the recommendations of the staff found a lot of
interestingareas off the tourist trail. Couldn't fault the place - hairdryers and reading lights on the beds
were the "icing on the cake".

its about 2 month now since i stayed at rapunzel, forgot to write, but wont forget the stay there: located
in the heart of istanbul, close to everything, clean rooms, but most of all the very helpful, friendly and in
every way unique people. we stayed longer as planned, but could have stayed much longer. thanks
again for the sangria and the excellent turkish dinner!

The tiny hostel is central, perfectly located next to the Galata tower, but also very quiet. We liked the sound of the muezzins at night! The staff is relaxed, very friendly and always helpfull. They really enjoy having guests. The view from the upper room is just marvellous. Generally we have felt at home and like to remember. It is a good choice for Beyoglu!

Very central hostel, but also quite. its a 2. min far to istiklal caddesi. much better compare the ones in sultanahmet. you are thinking get out at night, this is the right hostel. I felt like at home. we become bro's with the staff. definetely recommend this hostel.

Went here with my türkish friend and we both loved the atmosphere the humble helpfull staff. It was really nice and clean no doubt about that and so quiet accept the stars who nearly killed us, but see we are still alive and kicking a nice memory richer.....

This hostel makes you feel like home. insist them to make you a “shepherd” salad.this is what bora and

I had to stay in Galata area but all the hotels were fully booked.
For the first time staying in istanbul and in a hostel, this was a great experience for me. The beds were
comfortable, security was great, the rooms were nice and warm and the lockers were big. Breakfast was
great, I would definately stay there again.

awesome hostel,you are just in the middle of istanbul. too close to the nightlife of Istanbul.
in 5 minutes i was back from the bar although i was drunk.

The breakfast was enjoyable and super, rooms, bathrooms, simply everywhere were really clean,
staff was very friendly and gave vey important tips about everything. Hostel is in the middle of old
and new town, so everywhere is within easy reach, i totally recommend to anybody planning going
to istanbul.

Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. I was very surprised by the homely atmosphere.
It is right in the middle of Istanbul - the accommodation is very cheap for this location.

The staff were very helpful with us, even resolving me a problem that was not their duty at all. The hostel is very good to those who want to stay near the trendy area. The Hostel is unpretentious, but clean, with a relax ambiance. The breakfast is not the best nor abundant. I definitely recommendit. For the relation price/facilities they offer wound be very difficult to find a better choice.

i really miss the hostel and staff...staff gave the most valuable tips,
they were so much friendly, and they really know istanbul
it is close to old city, closer to istiklal street. it is very very clean and comfortable,
sometimes it was hard to leave the hostel for traveling. i am sure i will come back.

Everyone should stay at Rapunzel when they go visit Turkey !! High security, only a few min. away from

We had a wonderful stay at Rapunzel Hostel. The hostel is in a fantastic location, around the corner
from the Galata tower, and minutes by walking to the amazing heart of Beyoglu, Taksim and Asmalimescit
street where there are incredible bars and meyhanes. On the other way its just a five minute walk to
get to the galata bridge and cross over to Eminonu and catch a ferry to any part of the city. The hostel
is also extremely comfortable. The rooms are very clean, large, and have a nice window with good light.
The breakfast served is also a great start to the day - pretty traditional, cheese, bread, olives, salami,
jam. While there is no bar, there is a lounge where you can watch tv use wifi internet, read, and relax.
If you are looking for a party hostel with a bar, this might not be your top choice but you'll be able to
meet travelers in the lounge and head to the bars around the corner. Also - must mention that two of
the owners, Selen and Bora were extremely friendly, helpful, and gave the place a great overall charm
- they even let us try some of their home made turkish food which was delicious!

Have just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable trip to Istanbul. Stayed at Rapunzel for 5 nights, owners
were extremely welcoming and helpful, hostel perfectly located between Taksim Square and all sights of
Old Istanbul, great atmosphere, excellent value for money.

This place is lovely and the owners are very sweet. Really clean, staff will give to tips on everything and really try to place. New hostel in istanbul , so it's really clean and close to going out where the turks go out - not the tourist area! I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for making my stay fun and lovely!
